SAP Technical Cutover Manager (S/4HANA Private Cloud Transformation) – 24 months – £700/day (Inside IR35) – Hybrid – 3 days per week travel to the North East of England required
We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Cutover Manager to lead the technical cutover for a large-scale S/4HANA Private Cloud Transformation project. This is a critical role responsible for managing all technical aspects of the cutover process, ensuring a seamless migration with minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the technical cutover plan, including system migration, data loads, and infrastructure readiness.
- Oversee all technical cutover activities such as data migration, system decommissioning, and system integration points.
- Work closely with technical teams (Basis, Infrastructure, Data, and Application teams) to ensure readiness and smooth transition to the new S/4HANA environment.
- Collaborate with functional teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to align technical and business cutover activities.
- Perform detailed cutover rehearsals, dry runs, and dress rehearsals to ensure technical processes are well-tested and understood.
- Identify potential technical risks and bottlenecks, providing mitigation strategies and ensuring effective contingency planning.
- Manage go-live technical support and ensure post-cutover stabilization, with a focus on system performance, data integrity, and operational continuity.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Cutover Manager on large SAP projects, especially S/4HANA transformations.
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP systems, including cloud-based implementations (S/4HANA Private Cloud preferred).
- Hands-on experience with data migration, system integrations, infrastructure changes, and technical cutover processes.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams (Basis, Infrastructure, Data, Application) and align them to cutover milestones.
- Strong problem-solving and risk management skills, with experience in contingency planning for technical issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring smooth coordination between business and technical teams.
- Flexibility to travel to the North East of England 3 days a week, with remote working for the remainder.
